Beijing Tourism Group (“BTG” or the “Group”) is one of China’s largest tourism groups, a modern enterprise with tourism as the main operation and simultaneously engaged in hotel, travel service, automobile, shopping, dinning and cuisines, MICE, entertainment and scenic spots business. Since BTG was founded, it has moved actively to accelerate its business process rebuilding, further improved the industrial chain connecting the six major elements of tourism including “dining and cuisines, accommodation, transporting, touring, shopping and entertainment”, introduced in a brand-new business concept, brought into full play the effect of gathered famous brands to enhance networked management, and integrated the eight business segments of hotels, travel services, dining and cuisines, automobile service and tourism commerce to realize interaction among them.

Under BTG are many widely known businesses, including BTG Jianguo Hotel Management Co., Ltd., one of China’s most famous hotel management companies; BTG Co., Ltd., a listed company held by BTG that has performed excellently in the tourism industry; two fully qualified large travel services held by BTG, namely China Comfort Travel Co., BTG International Travel & Tours, BTG Taxi Company held by BTG, one of China’s largest tourism automobile service companies; and Beijing Exhibition Center subordinated to BTG, one of the earliest large multifunctional exhibition halls in Beijing.

Hotel Business : BTG is to build a hotel operation system that is compliant with international practice and combines reasonably arranged hotels of different grades. The total number of hotels invested and management by BTG will exceed 200, including nearly 10 five-star hotels managed by Key, 56 three and four-star hotels by BTG Jianguo, and over 120 economic hotels by Home Inns and Shindom.

Travel Service : The Group is to form a hosting system radiating from Beijing to all over China and major overseas guest source markets based on 102 affiliates of China Comfort Co., Ltd. across China and over 50 sales offices of BTG International Travel & Tours in Beijing.

Restaurants : The Group will fully leverage the business advantages of the famous time-honored dining and cuisine brands and more than 200 chained restaurants it owns, and will gather widely known brands including Quanjude, Donglaishun, Empyreal Court, Fengzeyuan, Sichuan Restaurant, Jude Huatian etc.

Coach & Taxi Service: The Group has more than 8000 vehicles in service and a comprehensive automobile service system offering a complete range of car rental, distribution, repair and fuel supply services.

Shopping : BTG will highlight the advantages of the Yansha and Antique City brand, further integrate unique shopping resources including Yansha Friendship Shopping Center, Guiyou Plaza, Jinyuan New Yansha Mall, Yansha Outlets Shopping Center and Beijing Antique City to establish a high-grade shopping system of international quality.

Scenic Spots : The Group will focus on development of scenic spot resources to build organic connections between places of guest sources and tourism destinations.

MICE : The Group will fully leverage the advantageous resources of Beijing Exhibition Center and of conference and exhibition facilities in hotels to maximize the overall benefits from conference and exhibition market development and hosting services.

Tourism Training : The Group is to strengthen the cooperation between BTG Training College and large international groups to build famous brands in the field.

Development Goals

As a large Beijing-based tourism service enterprise engaged in State-owned assets management and operation, BTG sees its gradual expansion in terms of size of business and operations, and of its influence. In 2005, the Group's consolidated operating income exceeded RMB ? 15 billion, total profit reached RMB ? 900 million, and the rate of return on net State-owned assets approached 5%. Specifically, the top 10 brands of the Group, namely BTG JianGuo Hotels & Resorts and Home Inn in the hotel segment, Beijing New Yansha Group and Antique City Group in the shopping, China Comfort Travel and BTG International Travel & Tours in the tourism, QuanJuDe Group and DongLaiShun Group in the dining and cuisines, Shou Qi in the automobile service and Beijing Capital Tourism in the scenic spot management segment of BTG, are to lead numerous secondary brands to form brand development in the pattern of radiating from and highlighting the 10 majors.
